Is there a cutoff for number of entrants?

Yes! We will close registration at 1000.

Is this a qualifier for Boston Marathon?

Not currently but we have applied for certification- please check back in a few months as we hope it will be a qualifier. 

Will there be Race Apparel for Purchase?

Yes! We will offer running hats, water bottles, wine glasses and pint glasses for purchase. All competitors will receive a commemorative tech shirt embroidered with the race logo in their swag bag.

Can I register the same day of the race?

There is no day of race registration. Registered competitors will be able to pick up their race number and packet starting at 6:30am at the finish line tent, but no new registrations.

Is Mail-in Registration Available?

Yes, a printable pdf can be filled out and mailed in. No mail in registrations after May 1, 2018

Will there be finishing medals?

Yes. We have some gorgeous custom Finisher Medals.

Will there be food at the finish?

Yes, we will be offering a catered lunch that is amazing to go along with our wine tasting festival!

How does the Half Marathon Team Event Work?

This event is two people splitting a HALF marathon. One runner will run out meeting their teammate who has driven east to Minto Brown Island Park. There will be an exchange set up to assist runners.

Where can we store personal items while during the race?

Willamette Valley Marathon will be providing each competitor a bag to store items not needed while you run.  We want you to focus on your race. We will take care of the logistics.

Are Ipod's Allowed?

Only for Half Marathon Runners. Marathon runners are required to have earbuds out while on open roads for safety.

Will there be parking at the start of the race?

YES! We have rented the large Chemeketa parking garage at the Oregon State Capitol for your convenience.

Are there Aid Stations along the course?

Yes, we will have aid stations every 3 miles.

Will there be Port-a-Potties along the course?

Yes, there will be Port-a-Potties provided at every Aid Stations along the course. We are committed to providing proper facilities for your comfort and safety.

Are Walker’s Allowed?

Yes. The course will be supported for six hours. 

Can we pick up race packets for friends?

Yes, please provide us with a letter, email or text message authorizing you to pick it up on their behalf.

Are Strollers Allowed?

Yes! We will have a separate class for strollers. We only ask for consideration not to get in the way of runners.

Are there Refunds or Transfers?

Register before December 31 and receive our Gold Registration Free Event Insurance to be eligible for a 100%, no questions asked refund.

If you register after December 31 there are no refunds available. However you can transfer your registration to next year's event or transfer your registration to another participant on the waiting list. All transfers must happen at least 1 month before the event. After that it gets super busy as we approach the event date and we will be unable to process any transfers- this is a courtesy we offer to our participants.

If you are transferring your registration to someone else you must email us their contact info and emergency contact info. Anyone running under someone else's name will be disqualified and not eligible for an award/trophy.
